Step 1

The first step is to visit the Login URL for your WordPress dashboard. In most cases, the URL will be your domain name followed by /wp-admin. So, for example, if the domain name for your website is labourwebsitename.com, the URL for the login section would be labourwebsitename.com/wp-admin.

Step 2

Once the link loads, you'll be shown a screen to enter your username and password. Click the 'Lost your password?' link to reset your password.

Step 3

On the next screen, you'll be asked to enter your username or email address registered for your profile on the website. Enter the information and then click 'Get new password'.

Step 4

The reset password link will be sent to the email address registered for your profile on your website. Click the link, and you'll be taken to a screen to enter your new password.

Step 5

We recommend using uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters to choose a strong password. A strong password is the first line of defence against hackers. Strong Password Generator and Last Pass are great websites to generate secure passwords. After you've chosen your strong password, click 'Save Password'.
